Been gone way too long...
Just to do a quick update on the family. Scott is the manager of Momma Goldberg's in Auburn. I am the Education Director & Program Coordinator for the Boys & Girls Club. Tucker is now 20 months old and already trying to give me a heart attack by going to the ER nonstop with accidents. I still love him to death though. Scott and I are working on maybe having a little girl in the future, but God will give it to us when he is ready. So I guess that is it. Hope this blog finds everyone doing well.

Angels & Demons

Happy Mother's Day!!!
A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow,
but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"
God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you."
The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have
to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."
God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you.
And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."
Again the small child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand
when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"
God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words
you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will
teach you how to speak."
"And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"
God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach
you how to pray."
"Who will protect me?"
God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life."
"But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."
God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach
you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."
At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth
could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave
now, please tell me my angel's name."
God said, You will simply call her, "Mom."

So I haven't blogged in a REALLY long time, and the reason for this is I just discovered the Twilight Saga. If you have read these books you can totally understand the addictive behavior that follows once you start reading them. I can totally understand the appeal to the typical teenage girl because all of them hope to find a guy like Edward, but as an adult my draw to them is the complete and utter suspense at every turn in the story. Stephanie Meyer is absolutely my favorite author now! She can really put you into a different world with each adjective and plot twist.
I have gone a couple of sleepless nights lately just to finish these books and now I want more! Thankfully, Scott is reading them now and he will soon be finished and we can have a discussion about the series. That is my favorite part about reading a book, being able to discuss it with someone (especially Scott). So my suggestion is for everyone to go out and read these books. They are truly on a different level. Contact me if you want to have a small book club discussion!

Am I crazy or not?
So I am recovering from a bout of the flu and I had to send my sweet Tucker to stay with Scott's parents. I thought, "Finally, I get to sleep!" Then about 2 hours after he was gone the loneliness set in. I totally miss my little man now. I never knew being a parent would be like this. One moment you are about to pull your hair out and run out the door. Then the next moment you can't live without the child for one minute! I now understand how having children can make you feel like you are going crazy.

Typical Weekend
Saturday, February 7, 2009
Okay I am going to get on my soap box...
- First, I am HORRIFIED by the thought of people cheating on each other (Married or Not)!
- Second, I am HORRIFIED by the idea that there is an actual website that encourages this with the slogan "Life is short. Have an affair."
- Third, I cannot believe that this would even be on TV, because all that is doing is highlighting this website and thrusting it into the spotlight.
- Fourth, what is this world coming to when this is actually okay? It was mentioned on the talk show that this is healthy because people aren't repressing their urges! I am a psychology major and I understand that you shouldn't repress urges, but if you are married and don't want to be in that relationship, GET A DIVORCE!!!
- Fifth, how stupid are these people on this website? You put your picture and your information on this site. Eventually, someone you know is going to find out about it. Whether it is your spouse checking your internet history or someone seeing you on the site.
